Biografie         

auf dieser Seite möchte ich nach und nach über die Entstehung meiner Lieder, der Texte und Melodien schreiben. Ich weiß nicht, ob das etwas im Netz verloren hat, ob es jemand interessiert...ich mache dies, weil ich es für mich mache und es deswegen gut finde.

Ich wünsche mir, dass alle, die meine Lieder spielen wollen, dies auch schnell, unkompliziert und kostenlos tun können. Deswegen werde ich die Texte mit einfachen Gitarrenakkorden auf dieser Seite einstellen. Werden Schlagzeugnoten benötigt, können diese bei mir per email stocky@otelo-online.de -Stichwort "Schlagzeugnoten" angefordert werden.

Geboren am 26. September 1964 in Düsseldorf

1977 Umzug nach Schramberg-Sulgen (Krs. Rottweil, Baden-Württemberg)

1978 Gitarre, Gesang (autodidaktisch)

1978/1979 Gründungsmitglied der Band Randstein (Coverlieder und Eigenkompositionen, u.a. Vorgruppe von Steinwolke)

1982 Bandauflösung

danach kurze Zeit Sänger bei J.Bush (Johannes und Benedikt Lerch, Ulrich Brauchle, Sinisa Porcic, Stilrichtung: Deutsch-Rock und engl. Eigenkompositionen)

1986 - 1994 ohne Band - Konzentration auf Berufsausbildung, Berufsausübung, Lieder geschrieben und gesammelt...Homerecording, Outdooraktivitäten wie Klettern,  Bergsteigen, Trekkingtouren (USA, Europa) 

1994 - 2008 Leadgitarre und Leadgesang bei Old News (nach "prägendem Lebensereignis"-Krankheit- von den Bandmitgliedern noch während der Genesung keine Rückkehr in Band mehr erwünscht...(Freunde zeigen sich in den schwersten Stunden - hierzu das Lied "It´s hard to be a hard man" auf der CD).

Weiterhin USA und Europareisen, Outdoor und ab 2005 wieder Mountainbiken und jährlich als Highlight Alpencross an den Gardasee

2008 bis heute ohne Band (Solo)

Viele Urlaube habe ich in den 90er Jahren bis 2004 in den USA verbracht. Mit diesem Lied möchte ich einfach zum Ausdruck bringen, wie es mir dort erging...es waren Abenteuerreisen pur! Tagelange Wüstenwanderungen, Klettertouren oder "einfach nur" Land und Leute in den Nationalparks, Städte und auf dem Land kennenlernen...

Dieses sehr persönliche Lied (1998/1999) handelt von dem Gefühl, das sich meldet, wenn man merkt, dass es rum ist, sich zunächst als "Verlierer" sieht, sich damit auseinander setzt und erkennt, ein "zurück blicken" bringt nichts, nach vorne schauen hilft...und schließlich die Erkenntnis, dass man damit den richtigen Weg eingeschlagen hat...

Dieses Lied beschreibt den Zustand, nachdem nach meinem "lebensbedrohlichen Vorfall", meine damaligen Band"freunde" mich nicht mehr in der Band haben wollten und sich einen "local Hero" geholt haben. Es gibt fünf Menschen (nur männlich) auf dieser Welt, die für mich "gestorben" sind...

Aber wie heißt es so schön....es ist für alles etwas gut. Ich habe dieses Lied geschrieben und konnte mich nun endlich in Ruhe auf meine eigenen Lieder konzentrieren. Das Ergebnis war die Erfüllung eines Traumes... eine eigene, professionelle CD zu produzieren.... I am a stand-up guy...

Beeinflusst von den vielen Aufenthalten in Amerika, war es nur eine Frage der Zeit, wann ich Country Lieder schreibe. "Gute-Laune"-Melodie und ein erfrischender Text, finde ich... bitte mir einem schmunzeln im Gesicht genießen...

Das Schluss Lied auf meiner CD. Eines meiner Lieblingslieder. Auch in Amerika entstanden, handelt es von der Sehnsucht, die Welt kennenzulernen, ihre Schönheit zu erleben, dem Alltagstrott zu entfliehen und sinnbildlich auf einer wunderschönen Hochebene ein Zuhause zu finden, sprich, die innere Ruhe... Wird es nur ein Traum bleiben?
